"I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the staff and carers that have been so crucial to my mum’s welfare and we do appreciate all the help given. Having the same carers makes such a difference. Your team all work very hard and the girls are dedicated and do a grand job."
- V & W Horton (Aug '08).
"All your helpers are extremely helpful and kind. I cannot fault them in any way – I am very grateful."
- Mrs Harling (Aug '08).
"…May I add that she is a great support worker, very suited to this kind of work and excellent with our residents."
- CT - Robinia (Aug '08)
"The team fed back their experience of using The Care Division. MW and PM were very positive about the staff that have worked in their schemes and about how well they are responded to by the staff on the telephone. They also mentioned how good it is that The Care Division always get back to them quickly."
- An extract from the minutes of a Social Services managers meeting (July '08).
The Care Division have been supplying Care to our local community since the year 2000 and we have been at great pains to build a reputation on the back of an exceptional quality of service and the high calibre of the staff we supply.
Matching the needs of our clients to the skills of our Support Workers is of paramount importance to us. Ensuring that they are equipped with all the training they require to empower them to perform their tasks to the best of their ability is therefore essential, and is a commitment we take extremely seriously.
By successfully fulfilling these primary goals we have established a strong, long-standing core team of staff who are happy, dedicated and committed to their work, and an ever-growing list of clients who use us as their primary staffing resource.
With dramatic changes in the learning disability sector being experienced by all providers, we have moved quickly to adapt our services to meet the needs of those now looking to live on their own in the community. Person Centred Plans, Direct Payments, Independent Living Funds and Personal Assistants are the way of the future. We have made it our job to understand how they can all be accessed and used to the maximum benefit of our clients.
1. To focus on service users. We aim to provide personal care and support in ways which have positive outcomes for our clients and service users and promote their active participation.
2. To ensure that we are fit for our purpose. We examine our operations constantly to ensure that we are successfully achieving our stated aims and purposes. We welcome feedback from our staff, clients and service users.
3. To work for the comprehensive welfare of our clients and service users. Where we are engaged to provide direct support we aim to provide for each service user a package of care that contributes to his or her overall personal and healthcare needs and preferences. We will co-operate with other services and professionals, and most particularly will listen to our client, their family, friends and wider circle of support to help to develop a PCP that will maximise independence and ensure as fully as possible their maximum participation in the community.
4. To meet assessed needs. Before we provide services, we ensure that our clients and potential service user's needs and preferences are thoroughly assessed. We aim to ensure that the care we provide meets the assessed needs of each client and service user, that needs are re-assessed as frequently as necessary, and that the care and support provided have the flexibility to respond to changing needs or requirements.
5. To provide quality services. We are wholeheartedly committed to providing top quality services and to continuous improvement in the level of care we offer.
6. To employ a quality workforce. Standards for our managers and staff are based on exceeding the national occupational standards for the care industry set by the National Training Organisation.
