CRB Umbrella Body
A CRB Umbrella Body undertakes Criminal Records Checks on behalf of both individuals and organisations (both commercial and voluntary) who are unable to do it themselves. As an Umbrella Body we play a vital role in the success of the CRB as we provide the mechanism by which many smaller care organisations may access CRB checks.
CRB Umbrella Body
The Care Division acts as an "Umbrella Body" for organisations (primarily within the Care sector and predominantly in the Southern region), requiring disclosure checks for their staff.
Please note that only organisations that are REQUIRED to obtain CRB Disclosures are allowed to apply for them through an Umbrella Organisation. To find out further information on who needs to obtain Disclosures on their staff and why we recommending visiting the CRB website.
