In response to our constant demand we continue to expand our Home Care Support services and increase our staff team in Dorset and Hampshire.
If you have a real interest in supporting people, along with the right attitude and a flexible approach to working patterns involving daytime hours, evenings and weekends, we have opportunities for Senior Home Carers, Home Carers and Relief Home Carers or Live in Carers.
Home Carers are members of a care team led by a Domiciliary Care Manager, whose responsibilities are to assist people who are unable to support themselves on their own. This may include people with a range of disabilities or those who are ill or frail and helps them to maintain their ability to live independently in the community, by providing them with support in their homes as well as in the community.
When you begin working for The Care Division you will start with an in-depth four day training course to refresh your experience followed by a three day induction into the community with one of our senior staff. Guidance will be given at every step of the way and you will have senior support staff available at hand at all times of the day.
We aim to provide you with continuity of work at an agreed level to ensure that relationships are built between you and your clients. It is very important that our clients receive high quality care on a daily basis to meet their varied needs. It is equally important to us that our clients are seeing a familiar face and we therefore strive to keep the continuity of care by providing you with your own care round. This will be shared with another person so that you have adequate rest days. Visits to clients can vary from 30 mins to 8 hours at a time and we are able to allocate back to back visits in order to provide our teams with a full day's work.
Duties may include washing, dressing, personal care, toileting, shopping and domestic duties or even just keeping someone company. All of our clients have unique care packages tailored to their needs and the detailed care plans can be found within the clients' homes.
The benefits of working for The Care Division include good rates of pay and mileage allowance, with transport and accommodation provided at low cost for those that require it.
In exchange we are looking for individuals who have a truly caring nature. People who enjoy looking after others and will derive real pleasure from looking after those less able than themselves. The work is hard and sometimes challenging, but for those with the work ethic and the right spirit it is work that is also truly rewarding.
